Introducing Bringin for Business: For Every European Company Ready to Adopt Bitcoin

Through the history of mankind, humanity has unified value with progressively better forms of money. Each served three main purposes: store of value, medium of exchange and unit of account.

With each new form of money, people traded goods and services more scalably. The latest payment upgrades came with credit cards, then e-cash and mobile payments. But all of them are still built on the rules of the old system, run by traditional banks.

Until Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a paradigm shift, a new system of money.

The world is still catching up to Bitcoin and what it makes possible. Especially now, in an age where humans are extending what they can do through agents.

Most of the systems around businesses and world trade still run on legacy rails. There has been tremendous innovation on top, but the fundamental infrastructure has stayed the same.

And the value that fiat money stores has deteriorated consistently, and faster through the global crises of recent years.

This leaves great room to leap to a new system. To explore new possibilities. To store value better, in money that is inherently scarce and immutable. Built on new rails, native to the internet.

Commerce will change.

The way goods and services are transacted will change.

The way humans see and value money itself is shifting.

So businesses inevitably need to shift how they see money, and operate with both the legacy system and the new. However long the transition takes, the time to start bridging the two is now.

‍

Why now: times of change

Change in money isn't smooth. It stays stable for long stretches, then shifts suddenly, and the trigger is almost always a crisis. Wars broke the gold standard. The Vietnam era ended Bretton Woods in 1971. Currency chaos pushed Europe to the euro. The 2008 crisis gave birth to Bitcoin. Today, dependence on US payment networks is driving the digital euro.

People rarely leave a system of money that works. They change it when trust in the old one breaks.

Every change in money has shifted three things for businesses: what it costs to get paid, what risk comes with holding money, and who they depend on to do either. The businesses that adapted early tended to win.

We are at that point again.

‍

The friction today

Fiat and the Bitcoin network are fundamentally different systems, and for businesses they have stayed apart.

Many innovative, tech-forward businesses are already adopting modern money to transact. They want the advantages Bitcoin and stablecoins provide: instant settlement, global reach, lower costs.

But running a business on it smoothly is another matter.

  • Converting Bitcoin to euros and back, again and again, while staying plugged into both systems and keeping accounting, taxes, payment records, security and governance clean
  • Banks that not only don't support virtual assets, but are hostile to any business involved in them because of their risk appetite, refusing or closing accounts and blocking transfers
  • Wallets, governance, capital gains taxes, and payment tools that don't plug into accounting tools
  • The Travel Rule turning every payment into surveillance and form filling, making Bitcoin payments so tedious that it's easier to step away from them

The problem isn't that businesses can't buy Bitcoin. They can.

The problem is operating a company when Bitcoin becomes part of the company's actual money: revenue, treasury, payments and working capital.

The result: the new money is left untapped. The advantage is never taken.

Two fragmented systems, with no single place that bridges them cleanly

‍

Bringin: the bridge

Bringin started with a founder who lived this problem.

When Prashanth moved from India to Estonia in 2021, capital controls made moving his savings from rupees to euros through the banks nearly impossible. So he carried them across borders on a hardware wallet instead.

Since 2018 he had been working on Lightning, the layer that scales Bitcoin to make instant, low-cost payments possible. In Tallinn, he took his salary in Bitcoin and lived on it. But spending it in the real world wasn’t as straightforward as he had hoped.

Exchanges halted euro withdrawals to his bank. Conversions took days, with intrusive questionnaires attached. His bank warned that transfers from exchanges could get his account closed. And the UX overall was painful.

Having worked on both Lightning and banking, he knew the bridge could be built. So he started Bringin.

Bringin is a tool for the change, from the old to the new. We've built as smooth a bridge as possible between the two systems, without compromising the core value of Bitcoin: self-custody.

It started with consumers, Last year we launched the consumer app, built specifically for self-custodial Bitcoin as it was meant to be. A wallet and a dedicated vIBAN account in the same app, connecting seamlessly to any hardware, cold or mobile wallet.

The vIBAN is in the user's own name, so euros reach their bank as a first-party payment, which significantly lowers the risk of blocks and debanking.

Our users have transacted over €15 million through it. Hundreds of them use Bringin to live on Bitcoin daily. To spend Bitcoin in the real world. From buying yachts, houses with their Bitcoin stash, to moving countries and living on it, to everyday coffee.

Now we're bringing the same experience to businesses. The challenges are the same. The needs are different..

As a Bitcoin company, Bringin faced every one of these challenges itself, just to carry out day-to-day operations. So we set out to solve them in a way no one had before: tackling debanking issues head on, with a smooth payment experience even with regulatory complexities like the travel rule, to give businesses a seamless banking experience.

Whether it's adding Bitcoin to the treasury, accepting Bitcoin payments or paying suppliers and payroll in Bitcoin, Bringin makes the leap simple. Euro accounts and the company Bitcoin wallet in one place, with the governance, security and efficiency a business needs. No friction from the old system. No complexity from the new network.

Every shift in money has left a window, where the old system still works and the new one is already here. The businesses that move in that window are the ones that come out ahead.

That window is open now.

Bringin for Business is for any European business ready to adopt Bitcoin, holding, accepting and moving Bitcoin and euros, both as money, with banking that is built & designed for it.
